Hit ctrl+h
to reveal hidden folders, or run rm -r .Skype
in a terminal window to remove it.
This is the reason of almost all the cases where cron
doesn't seems to run.
I would do this echo "options rtl8723be fwlps=N ips=N" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf
and reboot to see if it helps.
