Yes, Grive is using the defunct Documents List API. As of around 9AM PST we stopped serving these API requests. This is why the Grive client is receiving '400 Bad Request' responses.

Yes, you should be able to resize your extended partition (just sda4) to include free space on either side of it (adjacent to it), after shrinking/resizing sda3.

Install terminator, and you can do exactly what you are trying to.

The solution was: Use Gparted to erase the primary partition, re create it and then format. There's a hidden bug somewhere.
