I believe you are on Ubuntu, 11.10 since you have Gnome 3.2. You would have to upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 when it is available in order to get Gnome 3.4, unless you want to use the (risky) Gnome 3...

I deleted the whole storage section in user-data; The default autoinstall "knows" how to deal with it whether you are running in a UEFI...
