I'm running Ubuntu 14.04. I'd like to know where do the files of a certain installed program go.



In windows, for example, you go to the C:Programe Files
ame of the specific program
folder.



How do you find these files in Ubuntu?

You can install Synaptic. Open a Terminal with Ctrl+Alt+T and run:



sudo apt-get install synaptic


After that open Synaptic from the dash or form terminal by typing gksu synaptic and first go to Settings -> Preferences and check this box:
