Guys it worked for me with this setting in /etc/default/grub :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="acpi_osi="

Yep, this is empty value for acpi_osi...

I found out that ntfsprogs has write support for NTFS. And thus it replaces ntfs-3g.

But this package is still a bit buggy and sometimes it doesn't work so you can't create new folders...

I've made a shell script for the same. It takes care of the cases when the filenames have spaces or any other special characters.
