You're using a 64 bit cgminer on 32 bit ubuntu
-dev
are usually quite big and libvips-dev
depends on a long list of packages.
Unfortunately those packages are really strict dependencies and cannot be skip....
This is a specific instance of a generic question, "how do I prevent an upstart service from running at boot".
You can use an override:
sudo echo "manual" >>...
I could boot into the live environment after redownloading the iso and reflashing it to the usb, then turning on legacy support
You can run Ubuntu 12.10 as a LIVE-CD/DVD/USB. Try to click on "Upgrade" then, when it's up or just make a whole new and fresh install!
