Ripping DVD to Play in XBox 360

I am trying to rip a dvd to be playable on my XBox 360. I used Handbrake 0.9.8 Normal & High Profile presets with no avail. Although MPEG-4 & H.264 are supported by the XBox, it won't play files made by Handbrake in those formats.

Is there a way to encode files using ffmpeg, mencoder or any other tool and have them work in the XBox 360?

One way to play DVD on xbox is to burn AVI (Divx/xvid) format to a disc, you can get loads on one disc as well.

I personally could not get h264 to work on my xbox but avi works great, you can open the CD like a flash drive and just choose the file you want to play.

You can use k9copy from software center to rip your dvd to avi.
